WINDSURFING -- at Shallow Inlet near Sandy Point in Gipsland, must be the perfect place for anyone wanting to pursue the sport as a beginner or advanced practitoner. The Inlet is tidal but sheltered from the ocean swell. The sand-dunes protect part of the Inlet from the strong westerly winds giving the neophytes gentler conditions.
As with any sport, it is often very difficult to depict the speed and vigour with a static image.
