PELICANS -- gather at San Remo beach for their daily feeding. At times there can be more tourists than birds present. Soon as the food is finished, the birds take off to quieter spots on Phillip Island. On seeing these photographs, people invariably express surprise at how colourful the beaks can be, and that every bird is so different in their beak colour markings.
Pelicans are great to photograph. The challenge has been to capture images of the birds in flight.
