FLOWER FARMS -- where the plants are grown for the bulbs and not the flowers. The flower-heads are cut off when in full bloom. In autumn, the bulbs are dug up, washed, graded and exported to Holland for flower production. The bulbs are again returned to Australia for another growing season!
Witnessing these flower fields when in full colour is an eye-popping experience. Any photographer's heaven! These few small images do little justice to the real thing.
